Haiku Poems by Ernesto P. Santiago

with Li Po’s hyperphantasia
happy travelling
only the quiet night

-

a lot of checks
to a lot of passersby—
melting icicles

-

in spring dusk
a roadside dandelion
mocked by bees

-

a sleep specialist
rarely starts on time—
the chamomile tea

-

humility—
in his eyes
sky blue

-

pure loneliness—
in her small tea bowl
the insecure fly

-

still laughing loud -
in lingering summer
the mountain’s soul

-

a new normal . . .
creating a new life
the stump of a dogwood

-

he too goes out
of his way to let go
the Kafka’s bug

-

love lives in my heart,
I give whether you need it or not—
the rose

Ernesto P. Santiago spends all his free time between here and there, trying to learn something. He is too small for his ego. He is enough for himself. He lives in Greece and is inspired daily by the myth of his poetic senses.

  1. An awesome job brother E. I love the flow of the lines, and the impact of the messages. The images are impressive. Blessings always.
