Three Poems by Ann Privateer

Life

Exhausts
The inexhaustible
Life is a camera
Focused or out of focus
Developing from day one
Out dated, out of time
Maligned and mistaken
Yet somehow
It all works out.

Dessert

Cupcakes, ice cream
What’s your pleasure
When healthy fruits
Draw near

And you wonder
What to choose

Create love
Near you
Live what
You live for.

Reflections

Confusion in the mirror
Disguised as virtue
Laughs wildly

They fill the landfill
And the wilderness
Even the attic
And the basement
With vexed Joy

Curious imagination
Saddens the stronghold
Strangles the wimps.
