Five Haiku Poems by Maurizio Brancaleoni

Haiku

before dawn —

waiting for the

God-sent haiku

night rain  —

shreds of mosquito coils

in the dirty water

high summer  —

on the platform edge

shining rivulet

a flash of lightning

just when it shatters —

raindrop

bomb or rooster?

in the silence

mosquito whine

Maurizio Brancaleoni has been widely published in several journals and anthologies. He has a bilingual blog  where he posts literary gems, interviews and translations.
