Three New Poems by J D. Nelson

why is there no world in the book?

to know why a bumblebee is the free coin

the lost hammer is the apple of the worried lamp

what is the sun chime doing in the night atrium

that is the layer of the clock cushion so sit down

the cloud is no more than the purple listener

and that means a marksman will go hungry

please register your clack and quack

to win the battle when there is none

is that you humming?

earth is no ways aways

happy beeper to make a language

the fonzie donnie

laughing at the park signage

the hummus clownsicle

you need a tree to start

a surge of fruit for the penance ritual

the hen’s pink leather eggs

like smart a-macks that period o’ the text

(w

indow)

window

smith ixsth syruP

the coin nab (one of the world)

h.w. chape of the unne

it was a tuck or truck

a bead or bread

the bath is the miracle

michelob narnia is the grain

ah, the bland landing

cookit, look!
