Five Haiku Poems by Deborah A. Bennett

Five Haiku

opening the door

for the first spring fly  -

waxing half moon

***

when i am a ghost

in the park swing too  -

crescent moon

***

the doll house still

in the thrift store window  -

drizzling autumn sky

***

the hand i reach for

in the fog

red fallen leaves

***

even after waking

from the dream -

light of the white peonies

Deborah A. Bennett - Has been writing haiku for several years. Her poems have appeared in Frogpond Journal, Modern Haiku and First Frost Poetry, and was long-listed for The Haiku Foundation's Touchstone Award for 2023.
