Three "Jesus Tanka" by Chad Parenteau

Suburban Jesus Tanka

Suburban Jesus

defies holy water ban,

consecrates his hose,

blesses hot brown grass to turn

into wetter hot brown grass.

Groomer Jesus Tanka

Groomer Jesus knows

the way to reach all children.

Give each a wafer,

now he’s inside all of them.

It works better than candy!

Anti-Woke Jesus

Anti-Woke Jesus

shrugs off Virgin Mary Sue,

says no prophet is

accepted once they’re offline

while bot disciples give praise.
