One Poem by Fotoula Reynolds

Inside the syllables

Around the outer corner of her eyes

Suffusing life lines showcase a story

Older than bones

Collecting languages within languages

Transforming each time in mystery

Her words of love are as pure as grief

Untold thoughts surrender in ancient tone

Lyrics invade the thick mist of memory loss

Verses in the compass of her time lapsed

Shadows inside the syllables burst in truth

Her wisdom churned by mortar and pestle

Truth spreads into hearts keeping roots alive

Coming apart at the seams of her world

Night stars stretching, shining bright

Exhaling the veil of darkness

In time where leaves can no longer hold on

One season rises another season falls

On her wings life and death share space
