Rise, fall, hover 

For the haves, not the have nots

The greasers

Reject materialism.


 

The Road


Embraces liberation
A naked lunch
Explores rejection
Howling and cajoling
Committed 
To a mind Coney Island.



The Memoir


Without should
Squeeze faster
Explicitly 
Nothing X rated
No Vagabond Club
To cast a night shadow
Create a new world
The unconditional
Condition in found.


 

Them


Big Sur’s Henry Miller, Burroughs
E.E.Cummings, Ginsberg
Kerouac, Ferlinghetti
Peace lovers, no wars
Low-powered alternatives

Become pieces, On the Road

When God Created Women
With the Phenomenon of Man

And coffee houses sprang up
Near Black and Tan Clubs
Integrating-strip joints, races,
Transvestites, braking barriers...
There were no hiding places.
