One Poem by Ulrica Hume

Amulet

in my meditation a golden amulet appears

a vessel of thank yous

for when i’m feeling dread

it is imperfect,

a second skin

the world beyond

filtered through

still serene music

i cannot share it

it is yours already

shared by being

a reciprocal innocence

take heed,

the gift atomic

joy in the eye of the green things

a slant of light

a cause

divine

call it nothing

call me yours

i surrender to the logic

of silence

i surrender to love
