Ten Senryu Poems by Randy Brooks

10 Senryu

a drought of poems

he dusts off

the feathered rattle

Christmas storm

we go ahead and light

the red candle

church door opened

a homeless stranger

welcomes us in

coffee clutch

in-laws added to the DMZ

of politics

fairy dust

the tail

of the Milky Way

food truck

fancy hotdog mustard

matches his shirt

her weight watcher

she leaves him for

a big-hearted man

high school theatre

on stage

they’re the cool kids

home from college

her last-minute letter

to Santa
