Six Poems by Mary Bone

Chalk Line

The4 body of evidence

was cold to the touch.

A chalk line drawing on the sidewalk-

blood splatters of a crime.

Lights were flashing,

as questions were being asked.

Yellow tape marked off the scene

of a homeless man’s death.

Archived

Archived on a dusty shelf.

Put away and then dusted off

on a rainy day.

My thoughts came to life

In one cool breath.

A New Creation

Encased in a cocoon,

after being split open,

I emerge as a new creation.

My wings grow,

as I fly away

Trying to find

The real me.

Fish Tail Sky

It was a fishtail sky,

Whales were in the water,

as clouds floated by.

It took the scales of from my eyes,

to see more entertainment in the skies.

Lavender Sachet

Lavender sachet,

comforts of home.

Relaxing moments

In my easy chair.

A Fall Collection

Seeing a pattern

With autumn blues.

Anywhere I go-

I wear a Fall collection,

With a layered look.
