PITY THE ASSHOLES
Think about it
from their view
the assholes
and how exhausting
it must be to be
so rotten to the core
that everywhere
an asshole goes
they carry the stench
of their existence
of their being
anywhere they are
unbearable
unhappy
unkind
the asshole’s destiny
to die miserable
and alone
squeezing their life
into a toilet
of their own making
so yes, pity the assholes
and then wipe
them away
try to smell the roses
instead of
their shit.
PLYMOUTH
I’m trying to think of a new way
to tell the same ole story;
maybe the sinking ship
will float ashore
bloated and lifeless
but still make landfall;
participation trophies for all
the plastic zombies onboard
marching to the meat grinder
smiling
numb
dumb
but down for the cause
blind faith memories
of what could’ve been
but never was going to be.
ART 3X ÷ PATHWAYS = ∞
1.
Art is a sunrise
Shedding light upon
Life all around us.
2.
No dogma for sale
No great truth to peddle
Art has nothing to prove.
3.
Art exists as it is
And represents
Only itself.
THE THING IS
Death by a thousand
pinpricks
Of the lives we lead in just one
life
Believe in hellos, trust in
goodbyes
Endings are merely beginnings
Challenging us to move on
No one knows what it all means
We’re not supposed to
The process is everything
And everything is every
Thing.
