Two Poems by Carella Keil

Stilettos in the Rain

Seahorses with wings

can’t decide between sky

and water

so stay on my mind.

Butterflies sleeping on telephone wires

candles melting in the rain.

Stilettos anticipate a long night

dancing to vodka lullabies.

infinity

at the edge

of the black hole

my heartbeat

stretches

                 to

                        infinity
