Five Interludes Inspired Poems by Alan Catlin

Interludes Five Times

1-

The slow motion of

light on water; a fantasy

on a theme by Thomas Tallis

2-

A moment where sky

and sea seem to overlap;

impossible colours,

new light being born

3-

Deserted farm house

at dusk; moon rise

in broken glass

4-

Listening to Mozart’s

last symphonies;

so young to be so old

5-

Listening to Glenn Gould

play Bach; the joy of it

makes a man want to sing

Alan Catlin has published dozens of chapbooks and full-length books. He latest published works include How Will the Heart Endure (about life and work of Diane Arbus( from Kelsay Books and listening to the Moonlight Sonata from Impspired (UK).
