Brief Meditations Seven Times - A Poem in Seven Parts by Alan Catlin

Brief Meditations Seven Times

1-

Moon in water.

scooping out a cup,

moon still there

2-

Open window frames

the sky, flocks of birds

in it

3-

Wind-blown litter.

the sound of plastic

cups in the street,

then the rain

4-

Record heat this Summer;

even the flagpoles

wilting

5-

Caught in motion detecting

lights, the black cat

waits

6-

Morning after the storms

cloudless sky Monet blue

7-

Reflection in still

lake water;

who is this man?

Alan Catlin has published dozens of chapbooks and full-length books. He latest published works include How Will the Heart Endure (about life and work of Diane Arbus( from Kelsay Books and listening to the Moonlight Sonata from Impspired (UK).
