One Poem by Howie Good

Crown of Creation

Today I saw two butterflies mate in mid-air,

the male clasping the female to his underbody

as they flew bright circles around me, and now

I think I know why they’re called monarchs.

Howie Good is the author of the prose poetry collection FAMOUS LONG AGO, forthcoming from Laughing Ronin Press.
