Five Poems by Dominik Slusarczyk

Sleep Easily

I can’t afford doors.

People just kind of come in and

We chat about our separate lives.

We are rainbows glowing in the night.

Alarm

Just because I said it was doesn’t mean it will be forever because time changes us all into feathers that have been discarded by beautiful birds.

Christening

I can’t help but stare

At your beautiful hair.

It is long and luscious and Luxembourg.

It is straight and black and at half-mast.

It is silky and so so smooth.

It is more than this wooden door

But less than your hugging dress

But the same as my cold hard pain.

You never told me to go away

So I stayed for hours.

Giving

Friendship starts with a wish for gnomes with fun hats friendship starts with a wish for unicorns with golden horns become the unicorn with me you can be whichever end you like.

Logical

Usually I get off

But today I will stay on.

Usually I sit alone

And today is no different.

Usually I cry,

Once or twice.

Usually I make many mistakes.

Usually I mould miracles.

Usually I leave space for dreaming.

Today I filled the air with fire.

Today I filled the air with fire.
