Haiku by Dr. Mona Bedi

Haiku

skyscrapers–

devouring

the blue skies

lost in the city din-birdsong

receding waters

the flood leaves behind

broken dreams

derma clinic

negotiating their middle age–

hollywood beauties

roadside motel

we see the ghosts

of lovers past

still looking

for her spare key

lovers tiff

dentist's chair

the way he digs up

my past

hypnosis

the psychiatrist finally

peels off my layers

divorce

she haggles

for the memories

four leaf clover

all the wishes

unfulfilled
