Four Short Poems by Shiksha Dheda

Boats

My dreams are tiny boats

-          struggling to traverse

 the tumultuous ocean of your eyes -

circling your irises

-          struggling to reach the shore.

Tooth to Tongue

oh, but it is indeed true

kiss carefully, for the sweetest tongue

has the sharpest tooth

Nomad

Strange nomadic heart

resting in tents of free thought;

living in ruins

Love after lockdown

my head on your chest

your heartbeats tap my temples

your breath, my fresh air
