One Poem by Adrian David

Read ᴮᵉᵗʷᵉᵉⁿ The Lines

The media depicts only the ᶠᵃˡˢᵉ reality.

Most news channels are ⁿᵉᵛᵉʳ non-partisan.

Do ⁿᵒᵗ believe everything they show you.

Because they convey only the ᶠᵃᵏᵉ news.

We all live in the age of ᵐᶦˢinformation.

Every day, we're exposed to ᵈᶦˢᵗᵒʳᵗᵉᵈ facts.

Journalists are known for their ˢᵉˡᵉᶜᵗᶦᵛᵉ outrage.

They dream of an effective ᵖʳᵒᵖᵃᵍᵃⁿᵈᶦᶻᵉᵈ society.

The headlines we read are ⁿᵒᵗ unbiased.

After all, they make an ᵃᵍᵉⁿᵈᵃ⁻ᶠᵘᵉˡᵉᵈ analysis.

The evening bulletins are ᶦⁿ ⁿᵒ ʷᵃʸ honest,

as they provide ᵘⁿbalanced news coverage.

The fourth estate is a ʷᵉᵃᵏ pillar of democracy.

And now, it's becoming ᵈᵃⁿᵍᵉʳᵒᵘˢˡʸ powerful.

So, please ᵈᵒ ⁿᵒᵗ have confidence in the media.

At the end of the day, this is the era of ᵖᵒˢᵗ⁻truth.

Adrian David writes ads by day and poetry and short fiction by night. His poems explore themes like conflict, existential crises, society, and everything in between, from the mundane to the sublime.
