10 Haiku
plastic plants
the warmth of
contrast dye
fairy lights
her pregnant glow
drifting smoke
from one branch to the next
grey squirrel
summer’s end
a beach littered
with regrets
epiphany
a suddenness
of sparrows
deep woods
stacking a cairn
of prayers
scratching the dog’s ear the end of history
changing leaves
the radio station’s
new format
erasure poem
the missing teeth in
the boxer’s grin
winter light
the loneliness of
hotel hallways
