Ten Haiku Poems by Adele Evershed

Ten Haiku

spring showers...

I borrow peace

from the raindrops

moving home

the daffodils the same

but different

ice flower

the girl on my class register

no longer here

wild rosemary

dad asks who is in the photo

in his wallet

death moon

they strip the old man

down to his tattoo

red tide

the sound of water

silenced

lilac wine

I find mum's lipstick shade

discontinued

plum blossoms

too many questions

with no answers...

black ice

mum picks red stilettos

to wear at her funeral

bamboo curtain

a boy plays peek-a-boo

with the sun
