One Poem by Avantika Vijay Singh

Indian Coral Tree

Floating in the misty white fog

Like hushed Viking longships at sea...

Are the radiant red flowers agog

Blooming on the Indian coral tree.

Seated like oars of the longship

On the leafless silver bark tree...

Are the bright crimson flowers crisp

Blooming on the Indian coral tree.

With their cheer, making my heart sing,

In the bleakness of winter's sea...

Are these beacons of hope for spring,

Blooming on the Indian coral tree.

Floating in the misty white fog...

Blooming on the Indian coral tree...
