One Experimental Poem by S.C. Flynn

LABOUR

During the writing

of this poem

I paced a total

of 4.3 kilometres,

smoked three cigarettes,

drank six coffees

and a bottle

of cheap red wine,

wasted 2.6 hours

looking out the window,

un-jammed the printer,

answered the phone three times,

watched two and a half

episodes of soaps

and cleaned the flat

twice

S.C. Flynn was born in a small town in Australia of Irish origin and now lives in Dublin. His poetry has been published in many magazines, including Rattle, Quadrant, Cyphers and Honest Ulsterman.
