Ten Haiku Poems by Joshua St. Claire

Ten Haiku Poems

one cloud blocks the sun
and they all go grey
funeral service

false thaw melting into my teacup

high-tension lines
hidden below its reflection
the stem of a waterlily

yellow violets
once again mother tells me
some things never get better

sinistral snail
you wouldn’t know
to look at me

lily of the Nile
a child’s hand
gives me the sky

beginning and ending
at the crest of a ditch
daylilies

Cocalico Creek
reaching its banks
fractus clouds

the west wind
shakes the white tulips
meringue

briar rose
the goats devour
spring stars
