Five Poems by Wai Mei Wong

bread day

the missing polish

on her fingernails

passing rain

now on the lotus leaves

many moons

another spring

reviewing my forage guidebook

from page one

home alone

all the Barbie dolls

facing to the wall

forgotten seeds

in the garden

yet keeping their promise

under fall leaves and snow

with plump red beets
